本课课堂教学的设计主要依据教材及学生的年龄特点,依据新课程标准提出的新的教学理念,力求通过各种语言活动引导学生认识,体会和运用新的语言材料,通过体验式的学习方式完成新知识的学习和掌握。通过设计的多种活动内容提高学生综合语言运用的能力。
在本课教学的开始,我主要是通过做 turn left/ turn right的运动为课文教学作铺垫和课件的城镇图片演示自然地导入本课的课题Our town,作为本单元第一课时故事教学,我采 用了带着简单问题听故事入手的方式输入新的语言材料,帮助学生在有趣的故事情节中认识和理解新的语言.在充分理解故事大意的基础上,展开本单元重点句型的学习。此外,本课教学还设计了两大的任务型活动,询问方位和帮助Mocky,Ann等到达目的地,既为学生提供了语言运用的机会,又在活动中教育学生热心帮助他人,同时还使学生在展示活动中体验到帮助他人的成就感。
总的来说,本课的教学设计力求为学生提供充足的语言输入和为学生提供大量的语言输出的机会,力求使学生在真实的情景中认识,理解和运用语言,使学生在体验中自然地主动地习得语言,并注重语言教学的整体性和层次性。

一、教学目标:
1、知识目标:
1)进一步学习和掌握有关方位的词汇,强化听说读的综合技能:near, next to, behind, between---and,in front of
2)学习掌握新的交际用语: Where is the-----. The ----- is near….等等.。
3)学习城市基础设施的词汇:supermarket,train station, park, movie theater,,swimming pool,zoo,school

1) 能够正确询问他人有关地点并对他人的询问做出正确的回答
